A buddy of mine just bought a speed3 and the first upgrade he wants to do is a bov Sad

I tried to convince him to do other things first but he said it will void his warranty and the only aftermarket parts he can put on it have to come from mazda AND have to be installed by the dealership. I don't know the truth behind that but it sounds like the dealership is trying to take him for more $$$. Hopefully I can get him interested in coming down to Epic.

What about that dood up here at TT with the MS3? See if he'd want a tune.

MC tell your buddy that dealerships say that everymod under the sun will void your warranty. But basically it comes down to the mod has to be the cause of a specific issue. and with that. that we at Epic are very qualified in working with and on MS3's and ms6's as we have done alot of aftermarket and Dealer level services on these cars.

yeah thats what ive tried to tell him. He's the type of guy that if the mazda dealer told him he should only use mazda brand windshield washer fluid he would. I need to get a tune and 60k service as soon as my AP comes back from Cobb which should be any day now, so Im just gonna bring him with me to see what its all about and hopefully pull him from this dealership trance. Laughing

my buddy will has a MS3 ill pass along the word.he was talking about getting a cobb tune but didnt know where to go and now you guys will get it so he wont need to go to raleigh.

my roommate is deciding between a wrx/mazda or a pos used car. He thinks it would be silly if we both drove wrxs though.

Theres nobody in Raleigh who tunes MS3. there are only 4 cobb protuners in the state. Us in fayetteville, Draco( Charlotte area) 3sx racing in charlotte area and Boxer4racing in asheville.

But I would love to tune his car. Ive pretty much made up my mind and will end up ordering the software here quickly.

i need to get my buddy down there quickly...he already bought the bov, I couldnt stop him. and he is dead set on mazdaspeed aftermarket parts from the dealership.

atleast dealership parts wont void your warrentee - also he probably just has the wrong impression of after market parts?? Alot of people are scared to death of their car blowing up because its not made by car mfg.

some of the MS parts arent bad the intake is good, the suspension stuff is good.
There are a few very nice ms3's here in fayetteville. what BOV did he use. FWIW the ms3 is like the subies when it comes to BOV's
